We have Advanced Nurse Practitioners working across both surgeries.

Practice Nurses / Health Care Assistant

We have three Nurses and a Health Care Assistant, working across both surgeries. Their numerous tasks include: infant and adult immunisation, cervical smears, dressings, removal of stitches, ear syringing, monitor blood pressure, asthma, diabetes and medication reviews, travel advice, NHS Healthchecks, Well Man & Well Woman checks.

Has worked as a Health Care Assistant for many years, carrying out NHS health check assessments, wound care and advice, lifestyle advice, performs ECG's and assists the Dr's with contraception fitting.


Deborah Wardlow
Advanced Nurse Practitioner


Qualified nurse for over 29 years, working in acute medicine for 9 yrs. Has worked in the community within District nursing teams for 15 years, then in the community matron team for 2 years looking after patients with long term conditions. Debbie has been working within a GP surgery for the last 2 years as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner mainly focusing on minor illness on a day to day basis with the ablity to prescribe when necessary. I am very patient focused.

Debbie has studied to Masters level over the last 6 years.

Trained in Coventry. Has 6 years surgical ward experience plus 2 years community nursing.

Practice Nurse since 1999 and joined Sky Blue in December 2018.

Motivated to provide individualised patient care and improve quality of health .Specialist interest in all aspects of respiratory and diabetes management.

​Qualifications: ENB sexual health, ENB continence care, Asthma Diploma, COPD Diploma, ARTP spirometry, Warwick University Certificate in Diabetes.

Frances Griffin

Qualified as an RGN at Leicester Royal Infirmary

Queens Certificate in District Nursing in Leicester

Trained for a year in Psychiatry at Towers Hospital Leicester. NMC and RCN registered.

Experience in aftercare of patients undergoing open heart surgery in the Coronary Care Unit at Glenfield Hospital Leicester.

Over 30 years experience in hospital settings and 20 years as a Practice Nurse.

Experience working in Orthopaedics at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

Responsibilities: Managing long term medical conditions in clinics, Child immunisations, Travel advice, Smears, Ear irrigation, NHS health checks, Wound care, Diabetes, Hypertension and Asthma clinics, Injections, assisting with Minor surgery and Coil insertion, ECG, Contraception advice and Lifestyle advice.

Joined the Practice in May 2018.

BSc Childrens Nursing, Leicester.

NMC and RCN registered.

13 years acute hospital experience over 3 different hospitals, caring for children and adults.

Responsibilities: Wound advice and dressings, immunisations and vaccinations, injections, lifstyle advice, ECG's, Blood Pressure, ear assessment and irrigation, hospital related advice and minor surgery assistance.

The reception staff will assist you in making emergency and routine appointments to see your doctor or a nurse, manage repeat prescriptions requests and queries, and will offer help and assistance at all times. We have a Reception Manager at each site, Julie Pearse at Green Lane and Emma Levy at Harnall Lane.

It is a legal requirement that confidentiality of patients’ records is maintained at the highest level by all staff. Please respect our receptionists - physical or verbal abuse of our staff is not acceptable. Any incidents will always be logged and reported to the police in view to prosecution. Aggressive or violent patients may forfeit their right to be on a GP’s list.

Secretarial Support and Administrative Staff

Bilkis Hussain - Practice Administrator and Named Safeguarding Professional for Children.

Her main role is to ensure that staff within the organisation fulfil their roles and responsibilities for safeguarding children. She is responsible for safeguarding training, practice, support, peer review and supervision in the organisation.

Lynn Kane - Practice Administrator

Lumturie Moli - Adminstrator at Harnall Lane

Our Referrals Support are Bilkis Hussain and Lynn Kane based at Green Lane. They deal with all referrals to hospitals, community clinics etc, for our patients.

For any private consultations or medicals please contact the site that you usually attend. These have to be made in advance and are out of main surgery times and are chargeable,as they are a Non-NHS service and will be booked in the doctors private time.

Finance, IT, clinical data coding and inputting is based at Green Lane site.

Attached Staff

The practice has attached health visitors, midwives, district nurses, counsellors and close links with the community psychiatric nurses. These healthcare professionals are employed by Arden, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Area Team (AHW-AT) and work closely with all staff in the practice.
