!!!!  PATIENT ALERT  !!!

Coronavirus: Latest information and advice from Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England

 Advice for travellers from China

If you have travelled from Wuhan or Hubei Province to the UK in the last 14 days you should immediately:

·         Call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the area

·         Stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu. Remaining at home for 14 days after arriving from Wuhan or Hubei Province (or elsewhere in China if you have symptoms) and not going to work, school or public areas.

·         Where possible, you should avoid having visitors to your home, but it’s ok for friends, family or delivery drivers to drop off food.

·         You should not use public transport or taxis until 14 days after your return from Wuhan or Hubei Province (or elsewhere in China if you have symptoms).

·          Where possible, contact a friend or family member to take your children to school.

If you develop symptoms and have returned from mainland China

If you develop a fever, cough or shortness of breath, you should continue to follow the advice above.

Please do not leave your home and call NHS 111 immediately.

New GDPR Legislation

Due to new legislation regarding the data protection act, the practice is no longer able to accept another person booking appointments on behalf of our patients.  If you wish your family member/friend to be able to make an appointment on your behalf please visit the surgery with photo ID which will then be noted on your file by one of our reception team.  Consent is needed for all patients over 16 years of age.

The practice is no longer able to accept email requests on our practice email address for clinical matters, booking and cancellation of appointments; if you wish to email the practice with any clinical information you must be signed up for our online services.  This service will allow you to send emails directly into your patient records under a secure network.  Please visit reception with ID where you will be registered for this service.

The practice is no longer allowed to give out results over the phone, please visit the surgery to enquiry about these or request these through our online messaging service. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but hope you will understand that we do have to comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Recently the Practice has had to register a number of patients from our neighbouring practice due to their closure. This has been recognised by the Clinical Commissioning Group in Coventry and Rugby NHS Trust".

    GP Earnings

GP Net Earnings NHS England requires that all GP practices declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) of GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The required disclosure is shown below. The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £52,505 before Tax and National insurance. This is for 4 full time GPs, 7 part time GPs and 1 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months. It should however be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgment about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
