HOW DO I OBTAIN REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ?
You will be given a computerised slip if you are taking regular medication. We will not be taking requests for prescriptions over the telephone. Please hand this in to the surgery or send it in by post, allowing 48 hours for your prescription to be ready. Alternatively, you can now register to order repeat prescriptions via the Internet. Please ask at reception for a booking form.
Your treatment and condition will be reviewed periodically.
Some pharmacies will deal with your repeat prescription on your behalf.
From December 2003, the names of some medicines (drugs) have changed.

It's very important that only genuine patients are granted internet access. The best way we can ensure this is to issue patients with a Registration Letter, which you can only be obtained in person at your Practice. You cannot create an account without one.
 Ordering repeats via EMIS ACCESS that are no longer on your list
If a need an item that is not on repeat list EMIS ACCESS doesn't allow the you to use the message box and ask for the item separately. One way around this is by ticking a repeat item to active the message box and advise us at the end of the message that you do not need that particular item. This way, you can make a request for a medication not on your repeat list. Good examples are: Canesten Cream & pessaries,inhalers, Calpol for your kids etc
MEDICATION REVIEWS
We review your medication on a regular basis. The date of your next review will be situated at the bottom of the repeat request slip.
A medication review will enable us to make sure that you are taking what you need. It is also an opportunity to review your medical condition(s).
If you have an appointment with a doctor and you know that your medication needs to be reviewed soon. Please discuss this with the doctor involved. This may avoid you having to make another appointment simply for a medication review.
