EMIS Access is only available to patients who are registered with a participating EMIS Access practice. Sky Blue Medical Group offers internet appointment booking, please ask at your local surgery.
REMEMBER TO CHECK WHICH SURGERY THE GP IS AT - GREEN LANE OR HARNALL LANE - WHEN YOU BOOK THE APPOINTMENT.
Once registered, using EMIS Access, you can now view, book and cancel appointments at your local GP surgery from home, work or on the move – wherever you can connect to the internet. What’s more, because EMIS Access is a 24 hour online service – you can do this in your own time, day or night.
EMIS Access is not just for booking GP appointments - the popularity of online appointment booking has led to more online features being added, including:
· Repeat prescription ordering
· Change of address (Please check you remain within our catchment area)
· New patient pre-registration
· Secure message facility

Secure personal information
All information that is sent to your surgery via EMIS Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information.

It's very important that only genuine patients are granted internet access. The best way we can ensure this is to issue patients with a Registration Letter, which you can only be obtained in person at your Practice. You cannot create an account without one.
Ordering repeats via EMIS ACCESS that are no longer on your list
If a need an item that is not on repeat list EMIS ACCESS doesn't allow the you to use the message box and ask for the item separately. One way around this is by ticking a repeat item to active the message box and advise us at the end of the message that you do not need that particular item. This way, you can make a request for a medication not on your repeat list. Good examples are: Canesten Cream & pessaries,inhalers, Calpol for your kids etc
